Statuses
This page explains the project and issue statuses used on the work site, based on the current Linear workflow states.
Project Statuses
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Backlog | Accepted project work that is not currently scheduled to start. |
| Canceled | Project work has been stopped and is no longer being pursued. |
| Completed | Project delivery is complete. |
| In Progress | Work has started and is actively moving through delivery. |
| Planned | Work is scheduled but has not started yet. |
Issue Statuses
| Status | Description |
|---|---|
| Backlog | Accepted work that is not currently being worked on. |
| Blocked | Cannot progress until a dependency or decision is resolved. |
| Canceled | Stopped and no longer being worked on. |
| Discovery | Being explored to clarify the problem, options, and delivery approach. |
| Done | Completed. |
| Duplicate | Covered elsewhere and tracked in another issue. |
| In Progress | Work has started and is actively moving through delivery. |
| In Review | Pull request is being reviewed |
| In Testing | Being tested before release. |
| PO Review | Awaiting product-owner review or sign-off. |
| Ready for Delivery | Delivery work is complete and waiting for release or final handoff. |
| Ready for release | Delivery work is complete and waiting for release or final handoff. |
| Requirement Analysis | Requirements are being clarified before delivery work starts. |
| Reviewed | Has been reviewed and is moving through active delivery. |
| To Do | Ready to start when capacity is available. |
| Todo | Ready to start when capacity is available. |
| Triage | Issue needs to be triaged |
| Validate | Needs validation and shaping before it is ready for delivery planning. |
